This teeny tiny little girl is ten months old!!!! (two days ago...)
She's such a sweet baby. I can't believe she will be one in TWO MONTHS. Not acceptable.
I had made a bet with myself that she would be walking by ten months, but she's not quite there yet. She is SO close though. She can stand on her own, but she gets nervous and sits down right away... and she can walk so well if she's holding onto someone hands, but not quite ready to do it on her own yet I guess. It will be so adorable when she can do it. I am not looking forward to her falling a lot in the beginning, but it will be fun... and much easier to play outside with her. She doesn't like crawling on the driveway or the grass, but I think she'll like to walk out there? Hopefully.
She still just has two teeth, but her two top front teeth have been bugging her for a few weeks... They just won't come through, but her gums are definitely ready for them to bust out.
She is slightly over her stranger danger phase, but not completely. She has made it through multiple play dates without screaming everytime someone looked at her at least :) She still does not want to be held by people she doesn't know, but she's better about just being around them.
Just within the past few days she has started saying "Uh oh" and it is the cutest thing ever.
Also just this week she has started climbing entire flights of stairs... and yesterday she climbed up the slide.
I'm scared. And there goes me being able to turn my back on her for a second when we're in the basement.
She loves her sister so much, it's unreal. She wants to be on top of Natalie all the time. Partly because she wants whatever food Natalie has, but she really does love her. She tries to put her mouth on us all the time, and she was half a second away from sucking on Natalie's toe the other day. Natalie has started pushing her away with her feet when she does stuff like that, and I can't say I totally blame her, but it's a bummer for poor Claire :)
It's the cutest thing in the world when they laugh at each other, or when Natalie is purposely trying to make Claire laugh. Man they are cute. They really are going to be buddies here pretty soon. They kind of are now, but as soon as Claire can really play and gets just a little bit bigger I think it's going to be pretty awesome.
She's been doing a real crawl since she turned 9 months, rather than the inch worm she did for a month and half.
She's sleeping great, but she wakes up earlier than I'd like. Usually between 6 and 6:30. I used to wake up way earlier than that just because I wanted to, but I can't drag myself out of bed anymore so it's kind of sad to get woken up by Claire and have no time to myself to start the day. I need to get my butt in gear and just wake up earlier I suppose. Natalie still wakes up at 7:30, sometimes later if we let her, so it's nice to just have Claire alone for a while too.
I'm in total denial about how old she's getting. It's pretty easy to trick myself into thinking she's younger because she's the size of a normal 6 month old. Maybe a 7 month old. She's tiny.
I love that girl so much. I have no idea what I did before she was here. Actually I do. I had free time. It was awesome. But I wouldn't go back to those days for anything, because she and that crazy sister of hers make my heart pretty happy.
I love them both a crazy amount.
Comparison picture of both girls at 10 months. Claire's outfits are getting less and less weather appropriate, so I'm changing her clothes about 3 times a day on these picture days. Good times.
Even though I feel like I'm going crazy some days, I wouldn't trade being home with them for anything. I will be forever grateful that I got to spend every single day with them in these early years. They are the best.
