Grandparent's 60th Anniversary

My sister and I were in charge of the decorations for my grandparents 60th anniversary party last weekend. We both cut out leaves using our Cricut's, then I put together the cans and trees, and she made the banner.

This is how it turned out:

Thank goodness people liked them enough to take most of them home with them so I didn't have to drag them all back with me.


I think they turned out good though... I liked them. It made me wish I got to decorate for parties more often :)

Michael is going to come home some day to find our apartment completely decorated for something crazy... like a repeat of Valentine's Day perhaps? Except better.

Meh.

That's kind of how I feel about this post...

I painted a couple of pictures for Michael's parent's new dining room. I don't know how I feel about them, but I think this is as good as they are going to get. Hopefully she will like them.

I started out painting three different canvases... One got thrown away because it made me angry. It had oranges and cherries on it, and it was just not cute. I think she was really hoping for 3 different pictures, but I never told her I was doing three for sure... I'm hoping she is ok with just getting two... I'm sure she will be.

Here they are... My first attempt at painting fruit. Yikes.

I don't know why these pictures uploaded so tiny.

They are 20" by 24", so hopefully they will take up enough wall space to satisfy her. And I'm hoping there won't end up being room for the missing third canvas...

No more fruit for me for a while...
